Our Story

Mutt&Co. is a small family operated business whose goal is to create and sell high quality leather products, while paying those who make the collars and fair and decent wage. We also believe in helping dogs whose lives have not been as lucky as those of our pets. As a result 10% of all profits earned at Mutt&Co. are donated to our partners at the TNR Trust in Nairobi, Kenya, who work tirelessly every day to rescue stray dogs and find them loving homes.

The TNR Trust

TNR was started by three women because of their concern for the growing number of stray animals they were seeing in Nairobi. An ever increasing urban population, combined with higher rates of poverty and rubbish, was leading to ever increasing numbers of stray animals and the diseases and attacks that went along with this.

As a result TNR was started to help not only rescue and rehabilitate Nairobi’s stray dogs, but also to help spay and neuter dogs, and educate people on how best to take care of their animals.

Today TNR runs a number of projects with a vision of “improving community health through animal welfare”. These projects include a foster program to help rehabilitate animals that have been treated inhumanely and need new homes, to a travelling veterinary truck providing free veterinary services, and education programmes.
